Specialty Class: Freestyle Clothing Creation with Woven Fabric in the SAORI-Style
July 8, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Calling all Weavers! Tired of weaving scarves and table runners? Then join us for this specialty class to learn how to turn your handwoven fabrics into easy-living, freestyle clothing with little or no sewing. Yowza!
This class is inspired by the latest trend of SAORI weaving and creates very chic and fun clothing. Wouldn’t you love to turn your woven material into a vest, shrug, or jacket? Come learn in this hands-on class led by Weavers Anna Conway and Peg Silloway. You may bring your own handwoven lengths of fabric to experiment with or watch and learn from others.
All attendees will receive a handout with suggested website, books and catalogs for inspiration and follow-on reading. Information will also include suggested woven amounts for different types of garments, as well as suggested yarns that will inspire creativity and lead to successful results.
Please call Northwest Wools at 503-244-5024 to register, or stop by in person.
