The Age of Aquarius Poncho is our shop knitting pattern for the 2025 Rose City Yarn Crawl, Our Sky Full of Stars.
The Age of Aquarius Poncho is a tribute to the peace-and-love era of hippie culture. Its drape calls to mind the bell sleeves of the 1960s, while the zigzagging stripe pattern mimics the astronomical symbol for Aquarius. It’s the perfect groovy accessory for an evening of stargazing or the dawning of a new age.
The poncho consists of two identical rectangles, featuring an eye-catching zigzag stripe pattern that’s easy to learn and fun to knit. The top edges are joined with short seams that create peekaboo sleeves, and ribbing connects and finishes the side armhole openings.
The kit includes the pattern, 2 skeins of Fiona Kay Knits Stampede Sock and 2 skeins of Cascade Heritage. Recommended needle size: US 5/3.75 mm 32" length and US 5/3.75 mm 40" length (not included)
